Objective: To provide beginning Oregon Principals and Assistant Principals (years one two and three) an opportunity to create a collaborative learning network focused on key leadership skills and practical strategies to help improve their individual schools. Participants will attend a series of three seminars. This series is scheduled in conjunction with key COSA events and conferences. Goals: The seminar series will be organized around a presentation related to a designated leadership topic. Perspectives unique to principals of middle school and high school level will be included in each workshop. Following each presentation, time will be provided for participants to ask questions as well as to share immediate concerns and strategic issues. All participants will have the opportunity to share school-specific procedures and processes for feedback from experienced principals. |

These seminars will be focused on key leadership skills and practical strategies to help improve their individual schools. Participants will attend a series of three workshops, designed around the unique needs of elementary leaders. Goals: The seminar series will be organized around presentations related to designated leadership topics. Perspectives unique to the needs of elementary principals will be the focus of each seminar. Following each presentation, time will be provided for participants to ask questions, share immediate concerns/needs and other strategic issues. All participants will be encouraged to share school specific issues and processes for feedback from experienced principals, as well as to network with each other. |
