Pam Allyn, Senior Vice President of Innovation and Development, Scholastic Education
Pam Allyn is a leading literacy expert, author, and motivational speaker. She is the Senior Vice President of Innovation and Development for Scholastic Education. Pam also founded the organization LitWorld in 2007. Today this groundbreaking global literacy movement serves children across the United States and in more than 60 countries, pioneering game-changing initiatives impacting millions of children and young adults, including LitCamp and World Read Aloud Day.
Pam is the author of 26 books for educators, leaders and families on reading, writing, and quality learning. Her most recent publication is Every Child a Super Reader, co-authored with Dr. Ernest Morrell. Other books include Your Child’s Writing Life, What To Read When and Pam Allyn’s Best Books for Boys.
Pam is featured widely in the press and on social media as a nationwide and global education expert for both home and school, speaking to the power of education to open a world of possible for every child, everywhere. Pam is a Kellogg Foundation Alumni Fellow for Racial Equity and Healing. She is the recipient of the 2017 Teachers College Columbia University Distinguished Alumni Award.
