Common Core State Standards for Mathematics in Action
Featuring: Math Consultants Shannon McCaw and Sarah Schuhl
In each interactive and engaging mathematics session, participants will:
- Learn high leverage instructional strategies for priority clusters in the Common Core State Standards.
- Create and/or analyze assessments aligned to Smarter Balanced (SBAC) Claims and Depths of Knowledge.
- Analyze student work on SBAC-style tasks and assessment items to understand proficiency levels and increase student performance.

Reading and Writing in the Classroom K-2, 3-5, 6-12
Featuring: John Slagle, National CCSS Consultant and/or John Schuhl, ELA Consultant
These highly interactive sessions will equip teachers and coaches with high leverage techniques, texts, and technologies designed to empower students as they write to analyze and argue about what they read. Rooted in powerful close listening and interactive close reading instruction. These and other strategies and formative assessment examples will position learners for success with upcoming CCSS-based summative assessments.

Educator Effectiveness (290) and CCSS Implementation for Administrators and Teacher Leaders
