The Medford School District is seeking outstanding candidates for the permanent Assistant Principal position at Kennedy Elementary beginning in the 2025-26 school year. The Elementary Assistant Principal assists the building principal in organizing and fostering a positive, safe environment that is conducive to best meeting the needs of all students, staff, and families. The Assistant Principal works closely with the building principal to implement an instructional vision and focused plan for improving student achievement while narrowing the disparities between the highest and lowest-performing students. Supervises and supports professional educators in strengthening their instructional practices. Creates a continuous learning community for all staff and students by fostering a culture of high expectations and providing all students with equitable access to high-quality and culturally relevant instruction. Builds strong partnerships with families and the community; creates a safe, welcoming environment that reflects and supports the racial and ethnic diversity of the student population and communities served. The Assistant Principal acts in the capacity of the principal during the principal's absence from the school.
