Title: Elementary Principal
Placement: Hillside Elementary School, Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Director of Teaching and Learning & Special Programs
Contract Days: 220 Days per year/ 8 hours per day
Salary Range: Salary placement will be dependent upon verified full-time experience. 2024-2025 Salary Range: $114,928 - $135,842 per year plus an excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement "employee contribution" paid by the District, cell phone stipend, mileage stipend, and tuition reimbursement available.

About the Role:
The Elementary School Principal at Hillside Elementary will provide visionary leadership to ensure a positive school culture focused on student achievement.
This role requires supervising, supporting, and evaluating licensed and classified staff to foster professional growth and instructional excellence.
The principal will use data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes and guide school improvement initiatives
while maintaining effective communication and collaboration between administration, staff, students, parents, and the community.
Ensuring high-quality instruction in all classrooms through curriculum development and instructional leadership is a priority. The principal will promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, oversee student discipline and behavior management policies, and develop and manage the school budget to align resources with educational priorities.
Additionally, the principal will coordinate the maintenance and safety of school facilities and engage with families and the broader school community to build strong partnerships that foster trust and collaboration.
Who We’re Looking For:
EPSD9 is seeking a strong instructional leader who is committed to student success, staff development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a current Oregon Administrative Credential and a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the appropriate level. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate with staff, students, and families while maintaining a focus on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school improvement planning.
Strong skills in staff supervision, team building, and professional development are essential, as well as the ability to effectively manage student discipline and school operations.
