General Information
Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Teacher position. This position requires a valid TSPC license with multiple endorsements preferred, particularly in the core content areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Successful candidate will work as a member of the Discovery Academy High School, part of the Special Education Department, and will follow a 226-day calendar. This position will be based at the Willamette ESD Discovery Academy High School in Salem, OR and will begin as soon as possible upon conclusion of the selection process.

Salary and Benefits
- This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position represented by Willamette Valley Education Association.
- Placement on the Willamette ESD licensed salary schedule, $60,211 - $110,875, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
- Willamette ESD supports payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for eligible employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to eligible employees.

JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of Discovery Academy is to provide academic programs that result in an Oregon Diploma while integrating therapeutic and pro-social recovery services and opportunities. The teacher develops and implements lesson plans, teaches students, corrects student’s work, provides formative feedback, and summative grades, and maintains a safe and secure learning environment.
