General Information

Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Teacher - Science (Biology) position. Successful candidate will work as a member of Lord High School, part of the School Improvement Services Department, and will follow a 225-day calendar. This position will be based at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn, OR and will begin July 10, 2023.

JOB SUMMARY
MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is a facility in Woodburn, Oregon and serves approximately two hundred male youth. MacLaren is home to the Oregon Youth Authority’s male intake units, parole violation units, general population units, and several units for youth with specialized programming needs. All youth who have not yet completed a GED or high school diploma are required to attend school. MacLaren has a school on site to help students
earn high school and/or college credits. Lord High School has a similar structure to other public schools, including: a principal, certified teachers, and other support staff. This position will teach incarcerated youth between the ages
of twelve to twenty-five.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position represented by Willamette Valley Education Association.
Placement on the Willamette ESD licensed salary schedule, $50,961 - $98,405*, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period. *Salaries shown are based upon 2020-2023 licensed bargaining agreement; and are subject to change based upon the outcome of new bargaining agreement.

Willamette ESD supports payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for eligible employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to eligible employees.
