Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creating a safe and productive learning environment for all students
- Support the implementation and execution of a culture system that holds all students to high expectations, promotes joy across campus, and utilizes restorative practices to address behaviors
- Understands and integrates the community’s diverse cultural, social and intellectual resources
- Safeguards the values of democracy, equity and diversity
- Promotes continuous and sustainable improvement
- Builds and sustains positive relationships with families and learning coaches
- Models principles of self-awareness, reflective practice, transparency and ethical behavior
- Maintain visibility and positive contact with students, teachers, parents and executive staff. Communicate regularly with parents, maintaining a high quality school community
- Ensures a system of accountability for every student’s academic and social success
- Serve the widely varying needs of his/her assigned students on an individual basis.
- Support school policies and processes, explain them to all families on the roster, and seek assistance from the Director or designee if there is any difficulty
- Identify the Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
- Facilitate the ordering of all educational activities, materials, curriculum, and supplies
- Provide In-Service and Training to parents on use of the student’s curriculum, implementation of instructional strategies and teaching methods beneficial to their student’s education
- Responsible for assisting in "next-step" decisions for meeting student, school and/or state educational goals
- Proctor the designated assessments and share the results of assessments with parents (learning coach) and/or student in a timely manner
- Meet face-to-face with an Response To Intervention Advisory Teacher a minimum of 1-2 times per semester
- Be the liaison between the students/parents and REACH
- Complete all paperwork and documentation necessary to serve each assigned student
- Responsible to keep current with and communicate all school policies and procedures accurately and professionally to the families on his/her roster.
- Attend mandatory training, the annual curriculum conference, and other scheduled staff development training during the school year
- Responsible for attending all staff, PLC, IEP, 504, SST, RTI meetings
- Encouraged to attend any events in which an assigned student is participating
- Attending training and obtaining testing materials for assigned tests, testing sites and test dates as needed
- Proctor Oregon State Assessments (OSAS) and other REACH and State mandated assessments
- Expected to drive their own vehicle to Professional Learning Community, Collaboration meetings and AT meetings/staff developments
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree or greater in teaching
Eligible for or hold the appropriate Oregon State License
