SPECIAL NOTE: COSA and the U of O are offering a 2-credit course held in conjunction with the COSA Special Education Fall Conference. This course provides K-12 school leaders and administrators with up-to-date information on Special Education policies and practices critical to Oregon schools.

*In addition to the course, students must register for the COSA Special Education Conference as well as one pre-conference session.
The required course dates are:
- September 28, 2023 Synchronous Zoom from 4:00 - 6:00 pm
- October 4 - 6, 2023 Pre-Conference and Conference in-person attendance
Pre-Conference Sessions - October 4, 2023:
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (8:00-4:00, lunch included)
- From Paperwork to Progress: Improving School-Wide Progress Monitoring Data Collections and Use (9:00-12:00, breakfast and lunch included)
- The Impact of Life Experience on Brain Development a Hands-On Experience (9:00-12:00, breakfast and lunch included)
- A Fresh Look @ the Science of Reading and Supporting all Students (1:00-4:00, lunch included)
- Navigating Restraint and Seclusion, MDRs, and Informal Removals in Light of New Legislation (1:00-4:00, lunch included)
