The Office of Research, Assessment, Data, Accountability, and Reporting (RADAR) includes ODE’s Assessment Team, which is the team this position is part of and supports. What you will do!
This position works closely with the Director of Assessment, Assessment Team members, Office of RADAR staff, and colleagues across the agency to coordinate these activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about ODE’s equity lens and equity strategic plan and how the organization is committed to infusing those principles into all of our work. There are opportunities to collaborate with staff on important projects that help ensure that student learning is represented in our education systems in ways that allow for appropriate distribution of resources.
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Assessment Team’s implementation of Oregon’s statewide assessment system, which includes formative assessment practices, appropriate use of interim assessments to gauge student learning periodically through the year, and the statewide summative assessments. This position supports the team by managing procurement, training, document translations, travel, communications, meetings, and test security activities.
You will develop and process procurement requests
You will support the Assessment Team in providing secure assessment development and statewide implementation for state assessments
You will Develop assessment-related communications with staff and disseminate them to education and community partners
You will coordinate processes for item development and scoring with external education partners
You will provide technical assistance to staff and colleagues relating to agency travel, timekeeping, and procurement requirements

What are we looking for?
Three years of clerical/secretarial experience that included:
Two years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generation of documents AND
lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience. No substitution will be made for the two years at the full performance level.
