BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The elementary principal is responsible for implementing and managing the district’s policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that addresses the learning needs of students, staff, and families through innovative practice aligned with district and board directives. The principal works collaboratively to lead all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues both within and outside the district. The principal is responsible for planning and overseeing curriculum, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, financial management, resource scheduling, and facilities operations. Oregon City is looking for diverse candidates that resemble the students we serve in our community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Education.
A current Oregon Administrator license.
Bilingual and/or biliterate preferred.
Five years of successful teaching experience.
Successful administrative experience preferred.
Skills to appropriately manage personnel and programs, communicate effectively, and problem solve.
The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
Commitment to equitable and inclusive practices for all students.
A dedication to their own professional growth and that of their staff and community in congruence with the district equity policy.
Must be able to interpret and implement school district policy and procedures.
Knowledgeable in research-based practices around professional development, professional learning communities, grading, assessment, and analyzing data.
Provide supervision and leadership that creates a positive school culture through implementation of positive behavior support programs including instructional interventions, student discipline, and safety procedures.
Understanding of Oregon’s State Standards, PBIS, IDEA, TAG, and ELL programs.
Able to supervise instructional performance through effective observation and evaluation.
Implement and account for the building's budgets, supervise maintenance and operations of the building and control of equipment.
Values Social Emotional Learning and instruction that supports all students.

GRADE LEVEL: K – 5

WORK SCHEDULE: 225 Days

SALARY RANGE: $123,916-$142.332
