Statewide Poverty/Education Summit offers unique opportunity for leaders
Oregon's education leaders know the impact that poverty can have on student learning, and the State Poverty/Education Summit, on May 9 at the Salem Conference Center, will help participants develop the understanding they need for systemically addressing the impacts of poverty on students.
COSA and OEIB are partnering on this unique opportunity to explore poverty's impact on education. Featured speakers will include Oregon first lady Cylvia Hayes, and national experts Lori Beamer and Donna Beegle. All participants will also participate in a moving and thought-provoking poverty simulation.
