Duane Larson, Vice Principal at Alice Ott Middle School, has been named Oregon’s Vice Principal of the Year for 2014-15. Larson, Vice Principal at Alice Ott since 2002, received the honor from the Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators.
This week, nine Oregon administrators are hosting their counterparts from China as part of the U.S.-China Administrator Shadowing Project, which is an exchange program for school superintendents and principals, Chinese and American.
The day will feature reports and discussion on the range of issues at the Legislature including funding, mandates, personnel, assessments, governance, etc. It also will include a training on maximizing your contacts with legislators and ample time for you to meeting with them at some time during the day.

The Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) today announced a new partnership agreement with Learning.com. Learning.com’s digital literacy curriculum specifically targets these and the other technology skills students need to succeed on the SBAC.
