Common Core Fall Regional Series continues Nov. 7-8 in Redmond
This year’s Common Core State Standards Fall Regional Series begins Oct. 28-29 in Pendleton (Convention Center), and continues Nov. 4-5 in Wilsonville (Holiday Inn) and Nov. 7-8 in Redmond (Eagle Crest Resort). The first day at each site will focus on elementary math and English language arts, and the second day will focus on secondary math and English language arts. Register today.
Math consultants Shannon McCaw and Sarah Schuhl will provide interactive and engaging sessions in which participants will learn strategies and action steps, create lesson plans and analyze and modify math assessments.
English language arts (ELA) consultants Penny Plavala and John Slagle will provide highly interactive and practical sessions that bring ELA Common Core-driven instruction to life, complete with development of project-based learning outcomes, creation of formative assessments, and much more.
Administrator and teacher leaders will have an opportunity to attend a PM sesion on Day 1 with ODE staff Brian Putnam, Sara Phillips and Nichole Dalton on Educator Effectiveness and CCSS Implementation.
On Day 2 there will be an all day session for administrators with John Slagle presenting on the administrator's role with the implementation of CCSS.
