40th Annual COSA Conference features world-renowned speakers
The 40th Annual COSA Conference, June 18-20 in Seaside, will feature internationally-acclaimed keynote speakers Michael Fullan and Anthony Muhammad. Fullan is considered a worldwide expert on educational reform, while Muhammad is known for leadership in transforming student performance. The conference will also feature the comedy troupe, Wavelength, known for inspiring educators with "Saturday Night Live-like" performances written just for them.
Three days of professional learning for school leaders will begin Wednesday, June 18 with two pre-conference opportunities, on special education and school safety. The COSA Presidents Reception is set for Wednesday evening, where COSA presidents from the present and past will be honored. The reception will also include the first Wavelength performance.
The main conference, on Thursday and Friday, June 19-20, will feature keynote speakers Fullan, Muhammad, Chief Education Officer Nancy Golden, Deputy Superintendent Rob Saxton, and attorney Nancy Hungerford. In addition, more than 70 best practices breakout sessions are planned.
