Description: Assist in planning and implementation of curriculum and staff development to meet high educational standards. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team. Participate in selection, supervision, evaluation and development of staff. Serve as building administrator in the absence of the Principal. Assist Principal in maintaining a safe, orderly school and a positive learning environment. Work effectively with an administrative team to implement, support and achieve building and district goals. Serve as an effective liaison with building and district staff, students, and citizens.
Requirements: Current Oregon administrative license or eligibility for license. Master’s Degree in education or related field. Five years successful public school teaching or administrative experience. Communicate effectively in speaking and writing.
Qualifications Desired: Preference given to candidates with demonstrated leadership skills who have successful experience as a team member, problem solver and rapport builder. Knowledge of and experience with high school curriculum standards and successful teaching strategies. Some knowledge needed in bilingual education/Spanish language, dealing with at-risk students, and instructional technology.
