Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington. The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of CTE Agricultural Instructor / Biology Teacher, for the 2025/26 school year.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of or be willing to obtain knowledge of content and be an effective leader in agricultural areas including Drones, Ag Biology/Biology, Plant Science, and Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
CTE Agriculture Science and/or Biology Teacher - Mac-Hi
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of instructional methodologies effective with secondary students.
Knowledge of student assessment techniques including curriculum-based assessment.
Knowledge of classroom organization and student management techniques.
Knowledge of planning and implementing instruction.
Knowledge of Oregon’s curriculum and common core standards and benchmarks.
Demonstrated skills in providing equitable opportunities for success for all students.
Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents and community.
Strong interest and background in content area preferred.
Experience in using data driven instruction preferred.
Experience with integrating technology in instruction preferred.
Experience or training in Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD) and/or Constructing Meaning preferred.
Spanish language skills preferred.
Possess a current Oregon Teaching License with appropriate secondary content area endorsement.
Agriculture Science and Technology CTE Endorsement or Biology Endorsement, or be able to receive/obtain the endorsement.
COMPENSATION:
Position starts fall of 2025. Current salary range is $45,516.00 - $83,946.00 (depending on level of experience and education). The Milton-Freewater School district offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package that includes:
