Administrative Opening for 2025-2026 School Year
JOB TITLE: Associate Director of Multnomah Early Childhood Program
Reports To: Director of Multnomah Early Childhood Program
Job Purpose Statements: To supervise staff in the planning and implementation of direct and indirect services to students enrolled in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education Programs. General duties may include hiring, observation and evaluation of staff, program development and evaluation, management and communication of written reports, policies and procedures and to adhere to all requirements under federal and state laws pertaining to Special Education.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervision and Staff Management:
Supervise and evaluate the performance of licensed, certificated, and classified staff, applying progressive discipline when necessary.
Oversee staff scheduling, assessments, instructional activities, and report writing for students referred for evaluation.
Staff Development:
Plan and implement professional development activities for staff, addressing identified needs, changes in state/federal laws, and trends in regular, special education, and early childhood services.
Ensure staff development activities are relevant to ongoing educational and regulatory changes.
Program Planning and Implementation:
Supervise the creation and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans and ensure compliance with due process requirements by licensed and classified personnel.
Oversee the development, review, and annual revision of goals for assigned programs.
Data and Reporting:
Manage collective bargaining agreements, gather data, analyze results, and prepare reports for districts, regional programs, and state agencies with which the district has contracts or agreements.
Recruitment and Personnel Management:
Handle personnel changes, including recruiting, interviewing, and recommending candidates for hire according to the district’s staff selection process.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with local school districts, community agencies, and state agencies to effectively implement and coordinate student services.
Procurement and Resource Management:
Establish and manage procedures for selecting and purchasing evaluation tools, adaptive equipment, instructional materials, and curriculum for assigned programs.
Policy and Procedure Oversight:
Ensure staff understand and adhere to district and department policies related to their job responsibilities.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with school personnel, families, other professionals, and advisory groups to support students and plan services.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous professional growth to enhance knowledge of instructional practices, accommodations for students with disabilities, and supervisory skills.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director to ensure effective program outcomes.
Compliance:
Adhere to district policies and department procedures.
Other Job Functions:
Act as a resource person.
Attend staff and administrative meetings.
Maintain records and write reports.
Conduct parent conferences as needed.
Job Requirements-Qualifications:
Experience Required: Five years’ successful teaching experience with one or more of the following student populations: Non-English Speaking, Speech Impaired, Learning Disabled, Emotionally Handicapped and Multi-handicapped, and administrative/supervisory experience in Special Education. Training and experience in prescriptive education and precision teaching techniques including task analysis, sequencing, cueing, measurable objective writing, baselining, criteria-referenced testing and data-based classrooms.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Objectively evaluate and document student learning, staff performance and the achievement of program objectives.
Exhibit the emotional and physical stamina to perform duties as required by the designated task, except for temporary disability.
Demonstrate knowledge, training or experience in computer-assisted instruction, instructional computer software, computer hardware, data processing, word processing and programming.
Training or experience in writing, compiling, editing, organizing and implementing.
Educations/Licenses Required: Master’s Degree. Eligible for appropriate administrative license; valid driver's license and evidence of insurability; and Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance.

Terms of Employment: 260 days per year. Salary to be established by the Board (Level D).
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.

Per district policy all offers of employment shall be contingent upon the successful passing of a district required drug test and criminal background check. Salary: Salary and benefits based on 2024-2026 Administrator agreement
Range $147,030 - $169,582; 260 day contract
