**General Information
Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Biology Teacher position; bilingual Spanish preferred. This position requires a valid Oregon TSPC license or the ability to obtain one. Previous experience in teaching anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and/or other related courses preferred. Experience in allied health or other health professions preferred. Successful candidate will work as a member of the Willamette Career Academy, part of the Seondary Partnerships Department, and will follow a 190-day calendar. This position will be based at the Willamette Career Academy in Salem, OR and will begin August 22, 2025.
**Duties & Responsibilities
The Health Services program teacher will work in concert with a nurse to establish effective
instruction in the health services program. Students in this program will gain opportunities for
job shadows, have hands-on lab experiences, build industry connections, earn dual/college
credits, explore specific jobs, and have the opportunity to earn certifications such as Certified
Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA, medical assisting), basic life support, etc., as they prepare
for a career in health services.
The Willamette Career Academy in Salem OR is a regional CTE where students choose to
spend half days at the WCA, and half days at their home school as they work towards
graduation and industry certifications.

**Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position represented by Willamette Valley Education Association.
Placement on the Willamette ESD licensed salary schedule, $52,645 - $98,397, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
