Special Education Teacher grades 6-8

This position is to teach Special Education at Sunridge Middle School beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.
Closing Date: Opened Until Filled.
Certification Required: Preliminary or Professional Teaching License with an endorsement in Elementary Multiple Subjects and Special Education Generalist to meet TSPC requirements.
Salary Range: $50,597 - $99,931 DOE plus Special Education stipend.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Accidental Death Insurance. District pays $1,850 per month towards employee health insurance benefits.

Other Information:
Applicant must possess skills for developing effective comprehensive educational programs for students with moderate to significant needs in the areas of academic skills, communication, socialization, cognition, sensory, social emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and life skills. Successful applicants must be able to provide proper case management including procedurally compliant IEP’s, work with instructional assistants, work with specialists, and collaborate with general education teachers regarding inclusion. Applicant must have completed the requirements for the special education endorsement and have experience working with students with diverse learning challenges. Experience with Inclusive Multi-Tiered Systems of Support within a Response to Intervention Framework preferred.
