The Director of Finance serves as a key member of the Superintendent’s leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the district. The Director of Finance ensures fiscal stability, transparency, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves strategic financial planning, budget oversight, and leading initiatives that support the district’s mission.

Key Responsibilities
Provide financial leadership and strategic planning to ensure fiscal sustainability.
Oversee budget development, payroll, financial reporting, and audits in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Manage investments, risk assessment, and purchasing to optimize district resources.
Work closely with the Superintendent and School Board, providing data-driven financial analysis.
Supervise and support finance department staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least five years of executive or managerial experience in school finance, government budgeting, or a related field, with a high level of knowledge in full-cycle accounting processes, State and Federal financial reporting requirements, and Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) applicable to financial statement preparation.
Certifications: CPA preferred; must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check; Hold valid Oregon Drivers License.

Contract Length: 260-day board-approved, annual contract, renewable by March 15th. 24/25 salary $135,689 - $161,158
