SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Starting the 2025-26 School Year
Position
The Rogue River School District seeks outstanding candidates for the position of School Principal for South Valley Academy (SVA), a hybrid alternative school. SVA currently serves students from 3rd grade through 12th grade, with a total population around 100 students. SVA uses an online curriculum with a blend of onsite and offsite learning. The SVA principal will also assist with other district administrative duties.
Qualifications:
• Valid Oregon Administrative License
• Skilled in supervision of instruction
• Knowledge and understanding of learning theory and successful instructional strategies
• Fiscal knowledge and responsibility
• Effective decision making skills
• Excellent interpersonal relation skills
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Valid teaching license
Additional Qualifications
• Successful experience as an administrator in a comprehensive school program
• Knowledge and understanding of alternative education programs
• Ability and desire to grow a program through community outreach and marketing
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $119,085 – $127,156 depending on experience and includes an excellent benefit package.

The District is located in the rural City of Rogue River which was settled in the 1850’s on the banks of the famous Rogue River in Southwestern Oregon and surrounded by the foothills of the Cascades, the Siskiyous, and the Coast Mountains. The District is approximately 250 square miles in size with approximately 1085 students attending the public schools. There are currently four schools within the District, Rogue River Elementary, Rogue River Jr./Sr. High School, SVA, and REACh Charter School.
