Assists SLPAs in developing goals for achieving and evaluating skills and knowledge. Oversees
services and data collection and monitors progress of therapy. Fosters others awareness of
speech, language, and hearing disorders and their prevention. Participates in multidisciplinary
team(s) for the process of identifying students who may need assessments to determine a
continuum of intervention strategies and/or possible eligibility for special education or related
services. Conducts thorough, appropriate, and balanced speech and language assessments
using a comprehensive assessment plan.

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERENCES:
*Hold valid Oregon Teaching Certification endorsement in Communication Disorder (must
have masters, doctorate, or other recognized post-baccalaureate degree)
*Experience in providing direct consultation and services to children with communication
disorders within a public school setting.
*Must be collaborative and a team player.
*Demonstrated competency in this field as noted from previous employers and/or
instructors.
COMPENSATION
*190 day contract
*Salary $66,927-96,439 (based on 1.0 FTE)(2025/26 TBD)
*Stipend $4346-$6786 (based on 1.0 FTE) (2025/26 TBD)
Jefferson County Education Service District is located in sunny Central Oregon. Central Oregon
is a major recreation area for all outdoor activities; skiing on Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood, fly
fishing on the Deschutes, Crooked and Metolius Rivers and rock climbing at Smith Rock State
Park. Central Oregon is approximately two hours from Portland and four hours from the Oregon
Coast
