QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Valid Teaching License through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission
• Minimum of five years counseling or teaching experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Basic technology/computer skills
• Understand and follow Standards for Competent and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bilingual, school leadership, or school counseling related experience
• Familiarity with trauma-invested practices
• Knowledgeable about Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Support Plans (BSP), and de-escalation techniques
• Experience with peer coaching strategies
• Assist in developing programs and/or activities to promote positive student behavior and interventions
• Willingness to partner with students, families, school personnel, and outside agencies to provide behavior interventions to best meet student needs
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Estimated start date – August 23, 2024 (new staff orientation)
• 1.0 FTE – 190-day contract (191-day for new teachers)
• 2024/25 school year base salary $44,595 – $80,544 depending on years of teaching experience and college credits as per the TEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Total insurance benefit package of over $21,000 annually
