Hiring Administrator: Carol Hatfield

GENERAL DUTIES:
* Monitor bus routes to ensure that all routes and trips have an assigned driver on a daily basis.
* Serve as the initial point of contact for drivers on the road to get assistance and to aid in
communication.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or its equivalent
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited
to email and systems applications
Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus
Driver’s Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
Familiarity with the geographic area inside the District boundaries
Pass a pre-employment drug test

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply established protocols for the coverage of transportation routes by assigning drivers
and assistants
Coordinate the assignment of District vehicles to drivers
Coordinate the assignment of trips and report unfilled trips to appropriate personnel
Organize the distribution of materials and equipment related to transportation routes and
trips
Assist drivers in identifying alternatives to avoid temporary problems encountered while
on a route
Perform the duties of a bus driver, as needed
Pass quarterly random drug tests
