General Information

Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Career and College Engagement Specialist position. Successful candidate will work as a member of the School Improvement Services Department and will follow a 250-day calendar. This position will be based at the Willamette ESD Marion Center in Salem, OR and will begin as soon as possible upon conclusion of the selection process.

Salary and Benefits

- This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) Classified position represented by the Oregon School Employees Association.
- Placement on the Willamette ESD Classified Salary Schedule Range 16, Step 1-6; ($22.88-$29.26 per hour) will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training and experience.
- Willamette ESD supports payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for eligible employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to eligible employees.

JOB SUMMARY

The Career and College Engagement Specialist works with school districts, students, families, and industry partners on behalf of the Willamette Promise to support the coordination events and opportunities for students to engage with workforce and industry while in middle and high school. The Career and College Engagement Specialist organizes communication around Career and College opportunities for students and works directly with districts, students, and workforce to implement events in relation to career connected learning and the K12 to workforce pipeline.

The Willamette Promise serves over 45 school districts with Dual Credit programming partnering with Western Oregon University and the Oregon Institute of Technology. In addition to our robust Dual Credit programming, the Willamette Promise provides Career and College transition supports to the students, families, educators, and industry partners.
