JOB TITLE: Elementary Teacher, 1.0 FTE
REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide education services to students in a classroom setting. The teacher instructs students, maintains student discipline and is responsible for student academic achievement. Full job description available upon request.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Elementary Education.
2. Hold or be eligible for Oregon Teaching Certification.
3. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide individual and group instruction to meet individual needs and help students make satisfactory progress.
2. Develop and use instructional materials suitable for verbal or visual instruction of pupils with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturities.
3. Evaluate academic and social growth of students and maintain appropriate records.
4. Use data to plan for instruction.
5. Communicate with parents and staff to promote best learning opportunities for students.
6. Work with other staff as a part of a team to provide the best instruction possible to students.
7. Participate in curriculum and/or faculty committees as interested or required.
8. Spanish speaking, reading and writing skills desired.
9. Computer/technology skills desired.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190-day contract at 1.0 FTE, starting Fall 2024. Based on current SEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement, salary pending negotiations (2023-2024 salary range $45,005-$91,359) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance and Oregon state retirement.
