TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The goal of the Elementary Literacy Coach is to assist in building long-term capacity within school settings and among school staff to ensure that all students are achieving to the best of their capabilities in the area of literacy. The Coach will support classroom teachers and instructional assistants in effective implementation of high-quality lesson planning, instruction and assessments in the various areas of literacy, acting as a district leader in the use of data to improve outcomes.
The Literacy Coach will take a hands-on approach to improving instruction and effectiveness by working to directly improve English Language Arts (ELA) instruction, student learning and foster teacher development. This may include modeling lessons in classrooms, helping teacher groups plan instruction, creating system-wide policies and procedures, and facilitating professional development.
