General Information
Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Associate Principal position; bilingual Spanish preferred. Successful candidate will work as a member of the School Improvement Services Department and will follow a 260-day calendar. This position will be based at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn, OR and will begin July 1, 2024

Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) administrative/non-represented position.
Placement on the Willamette ESD administrative salary schedule, $94,282 - $114,708, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training and experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
Willamette ESD supports payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for eligible employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to eligible employees.

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Principal, under the direction of the Principal, works to support all students and staff at MacLaren Youth Corrections Education Program (YCEP) and Marion County Juvenile Detention (JDEP) Center for youth ages 12-25. The Associate Principal must be able to support the management of youth, address challenging behaviors in a supportive manner that aligns with WESD and OYA processes, supervise licensed and classified staff, provide liaison services to teachers and unit staff regarding student academic and behavioral needs. The Associate Principal possesses not only the knowledge and skills to perform essential functions and key responsibilities of the position in an exemplary manner but has the experience and ability to train others in each of these areas, across settings, and student populations to help build capacity at the MacLaren YCEP/VSOY, and Marion County JDEP.
