Position Details:
Title: Special Education Teacher - Autism Specialist for 2024-2025 school year
Placement (location): District Wide
Supervisor: Director of Special Education (or designee)
Contract Days: 194/193 days per year, 8 hours per day
Salary Range: $45,635 - $89,065 per year, based on previous experience, $3,000 Special Education Stipend, and an additional $7,576 Head Teacher Stipend
Position Closing Date: Screening to begin immediately, open until filled
Description:
This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement or equivalent and must hold Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialization or the ability to obtain prior to the start date. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will demonstrate the ability to provide diagnostic assessments, identify needs, and assist in the program planning for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In addition, the ideal applicant will demonstrate strong collaboration skills to consult with school and district personnel, parents, and others regarding assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions for students with ASD. Ideal applicants will have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
