Position Details:
Title: Special Education Teacher - 2024-2025 School Year
Placement (location): Hillside Elementary School
Supervisor: Principal
Contract Days: 194 days, 8 hours per day
Salary Range: $45,635 - $89,065 plus master's stipend of $2,282 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits), and Special Education Teachers receive a Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000 each year
Position Closing Date: Postion begins August 2024, screening to begin as soon as possible
Description:
This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement, or equivalent or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated skills in specifically designed instruction in reading, math, behavior and social skills and life skills for special education students. A desire to collaborate with other educators and agencies, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
