District English Language Development TOSA/ Teacher

Dayton School District is looking to interview candidates to fill the Position of English Language Development (ELD) TOSA/Teacher. This position will be teaching several classes across the district (K-12) for part of their day, while the rest of their day will be spent supporting the development and implementation of high-quality explicit language instruction to support the growth of our ELD student population. Tapping into the rich cultural community of Dayton and our students, this individual will use research-based practices to support the ELD program with an equity lens in place. This individual will work closely with the Student Services Director and staff, support professional development, and become an integral part of the ELD team in Dayton. Extra-curricular/coaching opportunities available.

Dayton School District is a rural district located in western Oregon’s scenic Mid-Willamette Valley, between McMinnville and Newberg. The staff works with parents and other community members to provide a learning environment which leads to progress and success in all academic areas and encourages students to become well-rounded citizens. The student population of approximately 1,000 is served by a grade school, a grade 6 - 8 junior high, and a high school.
