Technology Support Specialist

JOB TITLE: Technology Support Specialist (40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE)
REPORTS TO: Technology Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: This position provides hands on technical support, working collaboratively with technology and maintenance staff to maintain and monitor a variety of systems, both hardware and software, to ensure optimal performance; providing support and training to staff in all departments as it relates to operation of district systems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
3. Valid Driver’s License.
4. Previous successful experience in IT support.
5. Ability to flex hours as necessary.
PRFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Spanish speaker.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as support staff for District technology departments.
2. Maintains building security systems, including security codes, staff ID, and key card access for staff and other users. Responds to after-hours security needs.
3. Monitor security camera systems, including providing access to video as requested.
4. Installs and configures a variety of hardware and software.
5. Manage maintenance and repairs for all automated building control systems, including but not limited to HVAC, lighting and phones.
6. Support maintenance of District AV equipment.
7. Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
8. Provide proactive staff orientation/training for a variety of applications and/or hardware, including but not limited to email access, student information system access, district network, copy machines & Chromebook management.
9. Coordinate with District Office on Facility Rental scheduling and security access.
10. Assist with resolution of technology support tickets from staff, students, and parents.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 258 day work agreement at 1.0 FTE, 8 hours per day. Based on current OSEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement, salary (code 11 - $23.12 - $26.79 per hour) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance and Oregon state retirement.
