Position Description
Title: Middle/High School Level, 1.0 FTE Science Teacher
Qualifications:
• Masters of Teaching or Higher
• Extensive Experience in the Classroom
• Experience in Coaching and Mentoring Students
• Middle/High Science, (Advanced Science/Duel Credit - Preferred) Endorsements
Skills/Requirements:
• Knowledge of connecting academic standards with instruction.
• Ability to work well with peers and school administration
• Flexibility with the average day
• Work with regional partners to develop post-secondary connections
• Written and oral communication
• Problem solving
• Organization
• Knowledge and experience with Next-Gen Science Standards
• Presentation skills
Job Outline:
Successful candidate for this position will create and implement a comprehensive middle/high school science program. This includes teaching courses, such as Biology, Advanced Biology (Dual Credit), Middle School Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, other science related classes, and possible elective course(s) of your interest. Work with families to help student achieve success while in school and in post-secondary opportunities. Additional assignments may occur based on need and/or area of qualification. Additional position adjustments may be made by administration.
