Job Title: Principal-Elementary School
The Medford School District is seeking outstanding leaders to apply for 2 full-time vacancies as Elementary Principal. The positions are located at Lone Pine Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary, and applicants will be considered for both positions unless they otherwise specify in their cover letter.
Contract Days: 215 start date August 1, 2022. Salary $101,442-121,225 plus outstanding benefits.
Summary: The Elementary Principal is responsible for organizing and fostering a positive, safe environment that is conducive to best meeting the needs of all students, staff and families. Provides leadership and administration resources to motivate instruction, teaching and learning and support staff towards optimum performance in achieving the best possible opportunities for students’ growth and development. The Principal works to implement an instructional vision and focused plan for improving student achievement while narrowing the disparities between the highest and lowest performing students. The principal fosters a culture of high expectations; ensures all students have equitable access to high quality and culturally relevant instruction; builds strong partnerships with families and community; creates a safe, welcoming environment that reflects and supports the racial and ethnic diversity of the student population and communities served. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: staffing; staff supervision and evaluation; instructional leadership; curriculum oversight; student, parent and community relations; student discipline; school safety; and fiscal and facilities management of the elementary school building.
