PURPOSE
Develops, implements, and coordinates academic, behavior, and social-emotional multi-tiered systems of support for assigned levels, areas, and subjects. Coordinates assigned projects and improvement targets, including planning, implementation, and monitoring. Collects, analyzes, and reports progress of assigned programs based on improvement goals. Supports the Director(s) of Curriculum & Instruction in the achievement of equitable student outcomes, department supervision, inter-department collaboration, and the improvement of teaching and learning within an MTSS framework.
The Salem-Keizer School District is looking for a dynamic educational leader to serve as the Coordinator of Secondary Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in the school district. Salem-Keizer is the second largest school district in Oregon, serving over 42,000 students in 65 schools in the cities of Salem and Keizer, Oregon. Our coordinators lead the equity, diversity and inclusion work for the district as we identify and close our opportunity and outcome gaps for students. The MTSS Coordinator is a strategic implementor, with a special focus on the improvement of instruction, professional learning of instructional staff and administrators, analysis of growth and achievement related to improvement goals, the promotion of equitable student outcomes, and the execution of the district’s strategic plan and vision.
Specific focus areas for this role includes the development and implementation of tiered systems of academic, social-emotional, and behavior support, the improvement of staff data literacy, and direct support for school administrators in their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral improvement efforts. This role will be instrumental in scaling our learning and success through this effort across the organization.
