Salary and benefits reflected are for the 2024/25 management team schedule and will be updated when available. Salary range is $171,139 - $177,764

In addition to Washington state provided health and retirement benefits, management team benefits include the following annual benefits:

Position Summary:

The elementary principal is a leader with broad intellectual perspective, strong administrative skills and a high degree of personal integrity and maturity that provides instructional and administrative leadership for the school and across the District.

Essential Functions:

Establishes and maintains a culture of improvement.
Provides a safe school environment.
Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of a data- driven plan for increasing student achievement
Assists instructional staff with alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with state and local district learning goals.
Monitors, assists, and evaluates effective instruction and assessment practices
Manages staff and fiscal resources to support student achievement and legal responsibilities
Partners with the school community to promote student achievement
Demonstrates commitment to closing the achievement gaps.
Follows all other Board Policies, contract requirements and administrative procedures
Participates and delegates as necessary in the timely completion of IEP’s, district reports, employee evaluations, budgets, staffing documentation, and other required reporting responsibilities.
Maintains a visible presence throughout the school and attends school events as appropriate.
Designs and implements a building master schedule that allows students to achieve at appropriate levels, while balancing the needs of teachers and students.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides overall supervision of all certificated and classified staff.

Qualification and Requirements:

Education and/or Experience

Master’s degree or higher and administrative elementary school experience preferred.
Valid Washington State Elementary Principal’s credential required.
