Objective:
This Academy series is dedicated to supporting new Directors and Coordinators during their first, second or third years serving in their roles. The series will focus on current topics, legislation and requirements in Special Education and will include networking and mentorship opportunities from veteran colleagues, and ODE staff. Academy participants must be active members of COSA.
Mentorship and Coaching Support:
Each Academy participant will have access to 24/7 mentorship. The facilitators of the Special Education Academy have decades of experience and are available for support throughout the year.
** In order to participate, you must be a COSA “Active” member. **
Cost:
$895 for the year-long Academy experience. Registration to the NEW Special Education Academy includes complimentary registration for the SPED Conference in October and the Law Conference in December.
Cancellation Policy:
Failure to cancel 72 hours in advance of event will result in 50% charge of registration fee. No-shows will be charged the full event fee.

- October 23, 2024, 9:00 - 12:00 pm – The Graduate Hotel, Eugene, OR (SPED Conference)
- December 4, 2024, 9:00 - 12:00 pm – The Graduate Hotel, Eugene, OR (Law Conference)
- February 10, 2025, 9:00 - 12:00 pm – Salem Convention Center, Salem, OR (OACOA/OASE Winter Conference)
