2022 Superintendent Equity Academy

April 24, 2022 (Principals Conference in Bend)
June 22, 2022 (COSA Conference in Seaside)

 

Participants will:

  • Develop a shared consciousness of the role race and culture play in leading school districts
  • Build capacity to explicitly and courageously lead for equity and in support of historically underserved students

 

Structure:

  • Single Cohort of 30 Superintendents
  • Two In-Person Sessions
    • April 24, 12:00-4:00 @ Principals Conference in Bend
    • June 22, 9:00-4:00 @ COSA Conference in Seaside
  • Virtual Check-in before the first session and after session 1
    • Small group (five superintendents)
    • Affinity based (district size and geography)
    • Time to process issues, share experiences, discuss steps taken
  • Access to facilitators via virtual contact throughout the workshop
  • Participants are committing to the entire experience
  • Exploring a second year option

  • Currently serving as a coach/mentor to educational administrators
