For this panel presentation, our goal is to share information with conference participants, specifically regarding the recommendations of the Future Ready Oregon consortia. Each consortium arrived at the same conclusion: K-12 must be the foundation of our workforce system in Oregon, and K-12 must align with other systems—community colleges, training centers, apprenticeships, etc.—if Oregon has any chance of meeting workforce demand across industry sectors.

Following the panel discussion, the goal is for participants to leave inspired that this is work worth investing in, that it will change lives and lead to equitable prosperity, and that it has already brought unprecedented resources into K-12 programming for students.

The inevitable question will be, "So now what?" We’ll engage panelists and participants in that conversation.
