Lisa DeSalvio

Lisa DeSalvio is an experienced educator and an expert in special education and serving students with unique needs. She has served as the director of special programs in the Coos Bay School District since 2005. She has a tremendous range of experience, and currently administers Title I, ID, IV, III, Indian Education, and Special Education. Ms. DeSalvio received National Board Certification for Exceptional Needs in 2002.

Ms. DeSalvio has a passion for and deep commitment to building systems and supports for all students. She developed a comprehensive wraparound program called the ARK Project, which is a resource center for homeless youth and families in Coos County since 2010. She serves on multiple community boards and groups that involve developing and integrating district and community resources to better serve students and families.  She is a master ACES trainer and trains in both school districts and other community organizations in trauma, resilience, and self-regulation.
