Lana Brown, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Lindsay Unified School District

Mrs. Brown has been an educator for thirty years, including elementary, secondary, and district level experience.  In her early career, Brown was a first grade teacher, reading recovery teacher, and reading resource teacher.  After transitioning into school administration, Brown worked as a Vice Principal at the elementary level and served as a high school principal for Lindsay Unified.  In recent years, Brown worked as a curriculum specialist, implementing measurement topics, grading systems, instructional practices, and assessment systems for Lindsay’s performance based system.

Mrs. Brown has been an instrumental figure in the PBS implementation work at Lindsay Unified.  She has worked with implementation of systems, models and practices that are part of the transformational work required to transition from a traditional system to the performance based system.
