Dr. Jeri Turgesen is a board-certified health psychologist. She completed her doctoral degree at George Fox University, her internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a residency at the Portland VA Medical Center. Dr. Turgesen has been an employee of Providence Medical group for the past 7 years and currently serves as a Clinical Manager for Behavioral Health in Primary Care. She greatly enjoys serving patients within the primary care settings and working as an active member of interdisciplinary medical teams to address patients’ holistic healthcare needs. Part of her work includes community partnerships and collaboration of Behavioral Health and local high schools to support adolescent mental health and suicide risk. Areas of emphasis and interest include trauma informed care, chemical dependency, crisis and risk management, physical health and health management, and caring for the needs of LGBTQ+ patients.
