Dr. Kathleen Ludwig has served as the Superintendent of the West Linn-Wilsonville School District since 2016. Dr. Ludwig was the Deputy Superintendent for West Linn-Wilsonville School in 2015, and Assistant Superintendent from 2011-2014. She also served as Principal of Sunset Primary school for seven years prior to that. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in education from the University of Oregon. The Oregon Association of Latino Administrators awarded Dr. Ludwig The Tom Ruhl Ally Award in 2020 based on her pivotal equity work across the district’s 16 schools, beginning with a District Equity Action Plan. Under Dr. Ludwig’s leadership, the district has prioritized disrupting systems of racism, building school communities that are safe and welcoming for all students, and cultivating a district staff that reflects students in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District through intentional hiring processes and professional development.
